Join us at Greenwich’s beautiful National Maritime Museum for another Bijou Social. These informal meetups are designed for older (50+) members of the LGBTQ+ community, but, other ages are welcome to join us to build an inter-generational dialogue and share ideas and thoughts.
This initiative is still in its early days and we are planning to launch in October 2026 for a pilot run where we will be offering a range of free and informal activities from badge making to movement and dance session, from zine-making to drama games. Following the closure of Opening Doors and Metro there is now an increased need for an informal, supportive space for the LGBTQ+ community, one that offers creative activity and a chance to meet new people in a non-commercial environment and we hope you will join us to help create such a space in South-East London.
The focus of each session may change as we find the most suitable format that offers a flexible, relaxed environment where participants can take part in activities or simply have a cup of coffee and check out what’s going on.
We are running a programme of taster sessions at the National Maritime Museum on:
- Thurs 22 October 2.20pm – 4.30pm
- Thurs 5 November 2.30pm – 4.30pm
- Thurs 19 November 2.30pm – 4.30pm
- Thurs 3 December 2.30pm – 4.30pm
All sessions are free but we ask that you book in advance via:
