Each Sunday will be a take on the traditional gay pub Sunday afternoon cabaret with singalongs, special guests and a discotastic playlist of anthems from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Hosted by MC Alotta Nerve prepare for a fun afternoon where you check out the exhibition, share your stories, meet old friends and make new ones in this pop-up gay space in Lewisham Shopping Centre Unit 17. 

Have a look round the exhibition, meet up with old friends, grab a chair and settle back for the afternoon.  

The event is FREE. Refreshments (alcoholic/non-alcoholic/nibbles) will be available.

Alotta Nerve will be hosting the afternoon and leading a disco singalong and pub quiz

Special guest: At 1.30pm the wonderful Ian Elmslie (from the popular cabaret duo, Katrina and the Boy) will be reading from his book and performing a couple of songs.

His fabulous book A Marvellous Party will be available to buy for £10 and is perfect reading for a cosy autumn night! 

SEQUIN SUNDAY 2nd October 12.30pm to 3.30pm

Join the lovely Alotta Nerve as she introduces more delights for your entertainment.

Special guest will be Abi Collins, who will bring her unique performance to Where to, now the sequins have gone? 

Note on accessibility

There are no accessible toilets in Unit 17. 

The nearest accessible toilets are located in the shopping centre by the Molesworth Street entrance (between Wilko and Sainsburys)

Entry to the event is FREE but you do need to book in advance to ensure that we comply with limits on numbers. There will be some refreshments available (including some alcohol) but we will not be selling alcohol on the day, although we will welcome donations on a pay what you can basis. 

You can also donate to Bijou Stories here and as a special thank you receive the Sequin Purse which will enable you to pick up some extra special refreshments over five visits the to the VIP Zone!

Sequin Sundays have been supported by a Magic Little Grant through the partnership between Localgiving and Postcode Society Trust. Postcode Society Trust is a grant-giving charity funded by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery. Localgiving is the UK’s leading membership and support network for local charities and community groups. Our project received £500 towards workshops to develop and deliver Sequin Sundays.
