All aboard the Cutty Sark for the first of two productions of The Good Pirate. Bijou Stories is taking to the high seas as part of their latest project, which gives a queer twist to tales of piracy and the mythology of the sea.
The show, a re-imagining of a traditional variety show/cabaret, will reinterpret the pirate as an escapee from a homophobic, patriarchal society, traveling on a magical Cutty Sark to meet characters and visit lands both real and imagined.
This show has been created by participants in the Bijou Stories project working with artists and performers to develop and perform in this unique show. This is the first of two different shows each responding to the call of the high seas and high camp!
